Elbow joint infections are quite rare, but I do see elbow infections from time to time.

Elbow infections can occur spontaneously without any known cause. Alternatively infections can be a direct result of a surgery or secondary infection.

Secondary infections occur when bacteria from a primary infection travels to another system in the body and multiplies.
